Why do I paint?

I paint to explore the relationship between structure and emotion—the spaces we build and the lives moving through them. Rooted in the architecture of San Miguel de Allende and shaped by influences from de Kooning, Cecily Brown, Egon Schiele, fashion, and photography, my work has expanded from geometry to organic gesture and the human figure. Painting is how I translate feeling into form, inviting viewers to find their own story within the work.
